Our organization is seeking a skilled Technical Manager to oversee the design and development of EHV and HV cables. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cable design, with a strong understanding of technical requirements.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough reviews of sourcing requests from internal customers, ensuring they meet all necessary standards.
  • Develop innovative solutions for EHV and HV cable designs, tailored to customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to optimize their sourcing requests, leveraging Supply Chain Partner capabilities.
  • Convert customer inquiries into cable sourcing requests, streamlining the procurement process.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Partners to perform short circuit calculations, define wire screen/metal sheath size, and conduct ampacity calculations using CYMCAP.
  • Verify conductor sizes, check prequalification and type test coverage of offered cables, and ensure documentation aligns with marketing strategy.
  • Prepare Quality Control Plans and ITPs with Supply Chain Partners, reviewing and accepting Quality Records from suppliers.
  • Witness in-process, routine, and sample tests, identifying areas for improvement and preparing type tests.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold an Engineering degree in electrical fields, preferably with 4 years or more of experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities, are essential for this role.
