Rural Growth Strategist

We're looking for a Rural Growth Strategist to spearhead our growth initiatives in rural markets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven growth strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement lifecycle journeys for onboarding, engagement, retention, and win-back across various channels, including WhatsApp, IVR, SMS, Meta Ads, YouTube, and rural influencers.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and preferences to inform marketing decisions and create targeted campaigns.
  • Build and execute content engines that drive inbound demand for advisory and marketplace services, including producing farmer-facing content such as videos, WhatsApp campaigns, brochures, and case studies.
  • Develop vernacular retargeting and audience segmentation strategies to enhance brand credibility and drive sales.
  • Manage micro communities of trust on vernacular WhatsApp, Telegram, and Facebook groups, and design physical kits and grassroots activations to build brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with agronomy experts to create accessible narratives from technical PoPs and enable field officers with content packs in local languages.
  • Define a rural-first SEO strategy with vernacular keywords, farmer FAQs, and local business listings to improve online visibility.
  • Lead a team of vernacular writers, translators, and editors to ensure high-quality content creation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to launch referral and ambassador programs for farmers and community leaders, and develop activation playbooks for local events, farmer meetings, and village activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience in growth, lifecycle, or rural brand marketing.
  • Experience launching or scaling products in agri, FMCG, or rural India (Tier 2-4 markets).

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Meta Ads, Google Analytics 4, Hubspot/Zoho, Glide, Retool, and WhatsApp CRMs.
  • Track record in A/B testing, WhatsApp automation, and funnel optimisation.
  • Deep understanding of rural audiences - their trust triggers, aspirations, and adoption barriers.
  • Fluent in Marathi and Hindi; ability to work across rural and urban contexts.
