Marketplace Business Manager

We are seeking a results-driven marketplace business leader to spearhead the growth of our Mandi business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive supply and demand, increase market share, and maximize profits.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to drive supply and demand within a particular mandi and increase the market share.
  • Analyze local supply and demand trends and competitor activities, using insights to form appropriate plans to leverage growth opportunities.
  • Identify revenue & cost-saving opportunities to maximize profits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Credit to optimize costs and enhance revenue.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of produce and customer experience.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should possess an engineering or MBA background with 2-5 years of experience in pure play Key Account management roles, preferably in fast-paced settings.
  • Rural area sales exposure is highly preferred.
  • B2B sales experience in FMCG/FMCG/Ecommerce industries with hands-on understanding of credit facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong first principle thinking, ability to identify & solve problem statements end-to-end.
  • A proven track record of managing operations and bringing processes efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong desire to travel across rural areas in the assigned geography.
