Job Description:

As a senior executive, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the base metals strategy in India. Reporting to the Director – Commercial (Metals), you will be responsible for heading trade commercials, developing risk mitigation strategies, and devising business strategies to achieve a leading position in the Indian base metal industry.

The role requires strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams. You will be expected to lead the development of organizational infrastructure to support a phased growth journey, from an initial two-year trading focus to the eventual establishment of manufacturing operations across the base metals value chain.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Heading trade commercials (including sales and purchase)
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies (hedging across exchanges)
  • Devising business strategy of achieving a leading position in the Indian base metal industry
  • Building and nurturing a team of professionals
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of Base Metals value chain
  • Commercial understanding of trade
  • Strong network of customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in hedging mechanisms across MCX, LME, and other platforms
  • Team Management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

In terms of qualifications, you should have:

  • Min. 20 years experience in base metals industry with a Bachelor's degree or Min. 10 years experience in base metals industry post Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
