We are seeking a skilled AS/400 support specialist to fill an important role within our organization.

As an AS/400 support specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical assistance and support to customers and internal stakeholders. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of the IBM AS/400 platform, including COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, CLLE programming languages and technologies.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for AS/400 applications
  • Familiarizing yourself with system architecture diagrams and interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems
  • Documenting various AS/400 environments, OS levels, and database versions
  • Performing code walkthroughs of complex, critical, or error-prone COBOL and RPG code modules
  • Understanding how the AS/400 application integrates with other systems
  • Knowledge of current monitoring mechanisms, log directories, and housekeeping processes on AS/400 servers
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and requirements
