Access Support Specialist

About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Access Partner to support a blind Data & Appliance Analyst working within a global Cloud + AI organisation. As an Access Support Specialist, you will work closely with the Analyst to provide visual interpretation, data summarization, and navigation assistance within platforms such as Azure Portals, Excel, and Visual Studio.

This role involves bridging accessibility gaps in fast-paced, highly technical environments, enabling our client to work seamlessly and efficiently.

You'll review, interpret, and make basic code changes, create and manage spreadsheets for data tracking and analysis, utilize formulas, pivot tables, and other Excel tools to streamline workflows, assist in converting and formatting documents to meet accessibility standards, and summarize meetings, manage task follow-ups, and track progress in collaboration with team members.

Requirements

  • Basic coding knowledge
  • Understanding of how code is structured and ability to identify components like classes and functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and using intermediate Excel functions
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to provide support in a clear, professional manner
  • Maintain clear, professional communication in English, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn
  • Openness to training in accessibility standards and related tools
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
  • Comfortable working in a high-speed technical environment with urgency and frequent task-switching
  • Detail-orientated with strong multitasking and follow-up skills
