Procurement Specialist

Our organization is seeking a seasoned procurement specialist to lead the acquisition of essential materials and services. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with expertise in evaluating and selecting vendors/suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and project-related materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of vendors/suppliers to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Purchase Order Management: Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with project requirements and company policies.
  • Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with vendors to secure cost-effective contracts.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with project, design, and site teams to understand technical specifications.
  • Delivery Management: Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to prevent project delays.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors, monitor supplier performance, and evaluate their compliance with quality standards.
  • Documentation: Compile purchase reports, manage data, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Procurement Planning: Assist in procurement planning, budgeting, and inventory control for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Required Skills:

  • Procurement Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement processes in EPC/Projects/Water Industry.
  • Technical Acumen: Good understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/materials.
  • Vendor Development: Ability to develop and manage vendor relationships.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and cost optimization skills.
  • ERP Software Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP/Procurement software preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
