Platform Engineer

Job Title: Platform Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned platform engineer to play a critical part in designing, building, and maintaining internal platforms and tools.

As a senior platform engineer, you will design and implement scalable, resilient, and efficient platforms that support our organization's strategic goals and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee implementation of Windows Server solutions including SCCM, Group Policy, and CIS-based security hardening
  • Define and enforce best practices for patch management, server software deployment, and disk space remediation
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs
  • Ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks and internal security standards
  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively addressing risks and inefficiencies
  • Drive automation and process improvements to reduce toil and increase reliability
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmap planning and capacity forecasting

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Windows Server engineering, including SCCM, Active Directory, and GPO
  • Proficient in Ansible automation, especially in writing playbooks and roles for patching, reporting, and orchestration
  • Solid understanding of the Vulnerability Management Lifecycle and remediation planning
  • Experience in administering Group policy and Active Directory for server management, access control, and compliance enforcement
  • Proficiency in scripting (Powershell, YAML) for automation tasks and system integration
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and AMI Baking/image lifecycle management
  • Strong problem-solving, change management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields
