The position of Fuel Supply Chain Director is a senior leadership role that oversees the entire procurement function for fuel supply. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, building and maintaining a reliable supplier base, and overseeing inbound logistics and fuel transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Develop and execute long-term strategy for sourcing and managing fuel supply across all operating and upcoming assets.">
  3. Forecast plant-wise fuel demand and align sourcing, contracts, and delivery mechanisms to ensure uninterrupted supply.">
  4. Build and maintain a reliable supplier base for coal, biomass, and alternative fuels.">
  5. Lead contract negotiations and long-term agreements with domestic and international suppliers, traders, and logistics providers.">
  6. Drive vendor development initiatives to improve supply security, fuel mix flexibility, and cost efficiency.">
  7. Oversee inbound logistics and fuel transportation, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.">
  8. Implement and manage systems for inventory tracking, storage, quality checks, and fuel blending (if applicable).">

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.">
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in fuel procurement, including coal, biomass, or alternative fuels, preferably for power generation or large industrial energy consumers.">
  • Proven experience in handling high-volume supply chains with multi-location delivery.">
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience in leading and mentoring a distributed team.">
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.">
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.">
