We are seeking a visionary leader for the Director Position.

Job Purpose

To build a strategic vision for the school, defining medium and long-term academic and research direction and priorities. This involves creating an environment where students learn, thrive, and become leaders and innovators in society.

The ideal candidate will lead the teaching and non-teaching staff to make SOG a leading School of Governance. They will collaborate across interdisciplinary areas and with leadership members to develop synergies between education, research, and service priorities across the University.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement academic programs that align with the school's vision and mission.
  • Design high-quality curriculum meeting governance needs with a global perspective, comparable to the best in the country.
  • Lead and drive social initiatives such as NLC, Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, National Teachers Congress, and others.
  • Plan manpower needs and recruit high-calibre faculty on time for effective delivery of teaching, research, and consultancy activities.
  • Focus on continuous Faculty Development Programs to keep faculty members updated on latest developments.
  • Engage with society to understand changing needs and incorporate them into curriculum development.
  • Engage alumni for mutual benefit and participate effectively in university activities.

Maintain compliance with Regulatory Authorities and engage with other Institutes/Schools in University Campus for larger interests.

Track legislative and policy issues related to field and develop strategies to inform board, management, and staff.
