Senior Physiotherapy Professional Leader

The senior physiotherapy professional will provide high-level leadership to the physiotherapy program, ensuring excellence in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Governance:
    • Plan, implement, and monitor academic programs, adhering to University, UGC, and statutory council norms.
    • Supervise curriculum development, instructional methodologies, and continuous assessment.
    • Guide faculty in research, publications, and participation in academic forums.
    • Ensure effective clinical training and integration with healthcare services.
  • Administrative & Managerial:
    • Oversee day-to-day administration of the physiotherapy program/department.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (UGC, State Council, University guidelines).
    • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff performance.
    • Develop budgets and manage resources, ensuring adequate infrastructure.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to accreditation standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities.
    • Facilitate audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build partnerships with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional organizations.
    • Organize workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance learning opportunities.
    • Engage with stakeholders, including parents, students, and alumni, to strengthen institutional reputation.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of physiotherapy education, pedagogy, and healthcare trends.
    • Ability to balance academics, clinical, and administrative responsibilities.
    • Research-oriented mindset with publications in reputable journals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory).
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role.
