Contract Negotiation is a pivotal function within our legal team that ensures precision, organization, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in supporting the legal function by streamlining legal review of commercial agreements and increase efficiency for revenue/sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for order forms, professional service agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, data privacy agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreements according to internal guidelines.
  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
  • Develop and effectively articulate creative solutions and draft appropriate alternative terms, working closely with attorneys within the Legal team, as appropriate.
  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with internal policies.
  • Educate internal teams to promote conformity and consistency in contract terms and legal obligations.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Legal administrative processes and legal documents (contracts, corporate records, non-disclosure agreements, data privacy agreements, etc.).
  • Partner with other internal teams to drive process and operational improvements and ensure extraordinary customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • University level degree or equivalent, with 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms & conditions with directly customers or vendors.
  • Training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or legal writing, including IAACM or similar certification required.
  • Familiarity with media organizations desirable.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Experience working with commercial contract management and a good level of understanding of contract and commercial law.
  • Experience managing complex issues, and applying legal, financial and business principles to contracting.
  • Adept in use of digital tools, document systems, and MS Office - particularly advanced skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint.
  • Comfortable working as part of a cross functional team in a high-volume and fast paced environment.
  • Posses a 'can-do' attitude with no job too big or too small and willing to learn and take on new tasks.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.

Remote or hybrid, as desired

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and possess superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
  • Must be able and willing to work 2 PM - 11 PM (IST).
