
Experienced Commercial Real Estate Team Lead

Our organization seeks an experienced Team Leader to oversee a team of analysts supporting Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lending operations. This role will manage day-to-day delivery, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and manage client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor analysts processing CRE loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
- Ensure delivery in line with SLAs/KPIs with a 98%+ right-first-time documentation accuracy.
- Track, review, and report team performance; conduct regular feedback and coaching.
- Enforce adherence to lending policy, standards, and criteria.
- Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission.
- Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval.
- Act as the single point of contact for client stakeholders.
- Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions.
- Facilitate transparent, regular communication between teams.
- Oversee collaboration with KYC and Financial Crime teams for onboarding/fraud cases.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and client-specific policies.
- Identify and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership.
- Conduct training on CRE lending practices, compliance, and systems.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
A successful candidate will hold a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field and possess minimum 5 years experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of CRE lending, credit documentation, and compliance.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in banking systems, reporting, and MS Office tools.
