Chief Bioformulation Scientist

This senior-level position involves spearheading the development of innovative bio-based products to enhance soil health, plant nutrition, and crop protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Product Development:
  • Develop a comprehensive vision for bio-based product pipelines aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive innovation, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Identify emerging technologies and novel ingredients to integrate into existing product lines.
  • Collaborate with research teams to design and develop effective biofertilizers, PGPR, biocontrol agents, biostimulants, and other sustainable solutions.
Research and Development Management:
  • Oversee experiments and studies related to bioformulation development, ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage research projects, timelines, and budgets to optimize resource utilization and achieve milestone completion.
  • Develop and implement scalable production methods for bioactive compounds and their formulations.
  • Drive initiatives to engineer soil microbiomes and improve crop productivity.
  • Apply advanced plant molecular biology techniques to support R&D activities.
  • Deliver high-quality results on schedule and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Foster collaboration with internal departments to facilitate seamless product development and commercialization.
  • Provide strategic guidance on product development strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish partnerships with external stakeholders to accelerate product development and expand market reach.
Regulatory Compliance and Intellectual Property:
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement processes to safeguard intellectual property rights.
Global Representation and Technical Collaborations:
  • Represent the company at conferences and technical forums.
  • Establish strategic collaborations with scientific organizations and industry partners.
  • Act as a global ambassador by building relationships with key opinion leaders and industry experts.
Team Development and Talent Management:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and researchers specializing in bioformulations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement talent retention strategies.

A visionary leader passionate about driving innovation is sought after. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Crop Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agri-input Science, or related fields, along with minimum 12 years of postdoctoral experience in Agri-biotech companies or biotechnology industries focused on Agri-input formulations.
