Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Specialist

About the Role

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within our organization. This key position is responsible for maintaining and implementing regulatory compliance across all domains, guaranteeing that our activities align with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and coordinate regulatory submissions to the IRDA portal, working closely with various stakeholders from Ops, customer care, business products, finance, PO & Insurers.
  2. Maintain awareness of the submission process for new business, schedules, SP submissions, complaints, financial statements, and compliance certificates, submitting these to regulators on time.
  3. Track and maintain regulatory registers in collaboration with business units and BIU teams, ensuring proper format and timely submission to IRDAI.
  4. Communicate regulatory information to authorities as required, including branch openings, directorship changes, and regulatory charges.
  5. Update the IIB Envoy Portal by uploading salesperson and SP details, tracking, and reviewing periodically.
  6. Secure and renew licenses, such as CA/ISNP/Envoy, within applicable timelines and coordinate with stakeholders on licensing applicability and repository maintenance.
  7. Issue NOCs for exited SPs and detag PAN from IRDA & Envoy while maintaining records.
  8. Apply for telemarketing licenses and submit regulatory data to IRDAI according to stipulated guidelines.
  9. Oversee the renewal of various licenses, including IRDAI CA, PO, ISNP, Envoy, and others, in conjunction with PO and relevant stakeholders.
  10. Maintain regulatory checklists, including IRDAI Data, Registers, timely submissions, grievances, etc., with stakeholder coordination.
  11. Coordinate with finance, product teams, and insurers for monthly reconciliation sign-off and address identified gaps.
  12. Maintain agreements, SLAs, and commission structures for insurers.
  13. Track and resolve grievances from internal and external sources, coordinating with business, product, and branch teams.
  14. Provide audit checklists and track resolutions for branches in conjunction with functional audit teams.
  15. Conduct compliance checks on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) cases with internal and external stakeholders.
  16. Monitor and update litigation insurance cases, notifying the regulator as needed.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with 4-8 years of experience in a similar domain to fill this critical role. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be well-versed in regulatory frameworks, and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
