Along with Spencer’s Retail and Saregama, the Group has also ventured into FMCG business recently through Guiltfree Industries Limited. It has also acquired another FMCG Company, Apricot Foods Private Limited. With strong profitability, robust balance sheets and deep cash reserves, the Group is looking to build a strong position in the consumer goods and retail space. As a group, RP-SG is committed to invest $3 Billion + additional capital over the next 4-5 years, primarily into the consumer and technology businesses.
Background – FMCG BusinessRPSG FMCG Business has made strong initial inroads by creating a new segment of snacks in the Indian market, with its brand “Too Yumm” In a short period the brand has established itself across India as a strong choice vis some vis of traditional fried. This was possible by bold investments in product design and go to market. The division also has forayed into traditional snacks and Ayurveda (Dr Vaidya’s). The group is now in earnest to build the FMCG business in India through bold organic growth and acquisitions.
Background – Herbolab India Pvt Ltd.Dr Vaidya’s is a new age Ayurvedic company that strives to bring the traditional, time-tested goodness of Ayurveda to 21st-century customers. Founded by the Vaidya family, whose expertise spans 150 years of Ayurvedic heritage, their formulations and knowledge for Ayurvedic Products have been passed down from generation to generation through dedicated practice. Today, the company owns 100+ FDA approved, proprietary formulations for Ayurvedic medicine. Products sold online (owned channel i.e. drvaidyas.com and third party channels i.e. Amazon, Nykaa, Netmeds, Medlife, Pharmeasy etc.) as well as >500 offline stores (including Noble Plus, Twenty-Four Seven etc.).Learn more on and & Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales and achieve revenue targets across e commerce platforms.Should have handled the E-Commerce accounts operationally (at National level) for minimum 3 years.Professional acquaintance with the key stakeholders and gatekeepers in major accounts like Amazon, Flipkart, Big basket etc.Lead negotiations and manage contracts with e-commerce partners to optimize terms and maximize profitability.Drive promotional activities, campaigns, and product launches on e-commerce platforms to increase visibility and drive sales.Should be able to influence on PO release, cascade the POs to KAEs & ensuring deliveries with maximum Fill rate, hygiene check and corrections wherever required cascading the POs to KAEs, ensuringShould be able to understand the requirement of the customer, and address the need gaps through competition tracking, portfolio assessment.Maintain healthy relationship with the category managers to impact the business positively.Ensure Revenue goals are meet within the budgets.Follow up for payments with the customer, facilitating Account reconciliation.Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualification:Graduate.MBA would be an advantage.
Work Experience & Competencies:At least 5 yrs. & most recent experience in E-Comm in Ayurveda Category/FMCG.Have handled at least 3 major E-Commerce players to Foods & Personal Care is an edge to single handedly manage set of Ecommerce players.Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and online retail trends.Know-how on the different visibility elements and thorough understanding of each of the Ecom platforms working.Analytical Mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for driving growth and exceeding targets. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities. Willing to travel for customer meeting and regional team meets, wherever required.
