Job Overview:

Vector Systems is looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Assistant Store Manager with proven sales acumen in the AV, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Automation sectors. This role is ideal for an individual experienced in the industry who can engage customers, understand technical requirements, and drive sales performance. The Assistant Store Manager will play a critical role in achieving store targets, enhancing customer experience, and supporting the Store Manager in daily operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Drive sales performance by proactively engaging with customers, identifying their needs, and recommending suitable AV and automation solutions.
  • Educate clients on product features, specifications, and benefits, addressing their inquiries to build trust and rapport.
  • Work closely with the sales team to achieve store revenue targets and contribute to sales strategy development.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, providing a high standard of service.
  • Proactively follow up on sales leads, maintain customer records, and ensure customer satisfaction with products and services.
  • Handle customer complaints and escalations professionally, ensuring swift resolution and positive customer experience.

Store Operations & Team Support

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store functions, including the presentation of the store environment and alignment with brand standards.
  • Support and train team members on product knowledge, effective sales techniques, and customer service practices.
  • Coordinate with project and technical teams to understand product availability and assist in scheduling installations as per customer requirements.

Sales Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and report on sales metrics, tracking individual and team performance against targets.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports and analysing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to strategies that drive increased sales conversions, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.


Qualifications & Skills:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a relevant field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the AV, BMS, or automation industries.
  • Demonstrable sales acumen and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of AV, BMS, and automation systems, with the ability to effectively communicate product benefits and technical details.
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software, as well as standard office applications (MS Excel, Word).

  • Sales Orientation: Strong sales drive with the ability to understand customer needs and close deals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging customers and team members.
