Building Engineer Role OverviewJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our construction and maintenance group, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of building projects, including construction, finishing works, and general building maintenance.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and execute civil construction and finishing activities (masonry, plastering, flooring, painting, false ceiling, joinery, etc.).Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Monitor contractor performance and progress against project timelines.Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors for smooth execution.General Building Maintenance:Carry out routine inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance of institutional buildings.Diagnose and resolve building-related issues such as structural repairs, leakages, flooring damage, cracks, and plaster deterioration & MEP etc.Maintain records of maintenance schedules and completed works.Coordination & Reporting:Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors/vendors for material, manpower, and timely execution.Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, maintenance logs, and update management on status.Quality & Safety Assurance:Always ensure adherence to quality control procedures and safety standardsImplement corrective measures for defects and follow up until closure.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong knowledge of civil engineering, finishing works, and building maintenance.Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Familiarity with construction safety and quality standards.Strong communication and coordination skills.Benefits:As a Building Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our organization.
