Sous Chef

Reporting to: Corporate Chef


Operational Oversight

  • Assist the Corporate Chef in managing culinary operations across the chain, ensuring adherence to the standards.
  • Collaborate with unit chefs to ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Candidate should possess hands-on experience in multi-cuisine knowledge.
  • Candidate should have worked in a reputed standalone restaurant.
  • Candidate should have excellent food presentation skills.
  • Should be familiar with modern and latest food preparation techniques.
  • He should be able to creative and innovative menus

· Menu Development

  • Contribute to the creation and adaptation of diverse menus that reflect current trends and meet the dietary preferences of a wide range of clientele.
  • Standardize recipes and procedures to maintain uniformity across all locations.
  • Must possess skills to make local go local.

· Quality Control

  • Implement and monitor food safety and sanitation protocols across all units, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Conduct periodic quality assessments and audits to ensure high standards are maintained.

· Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement, to ensure seamless execution of culinary initiatives.
  • Participate in corporate events, catering, and special projects as required.

· Innovation & Trends

  • Stay updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and emerging cuisines to keep the menu offerings fresh and relevant.
  • Experiment with new recipes and presentation styles that can be shared across units.


Qualifications

  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: Should have minimum 5 years of experience of a reputed standalone restaurant.
  • Skills: Strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a creative approach to menu design.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with modern cooking techniques, food presentation skills, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment.
  • Personality: Excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
