Job Responsibilities*
Strategic Work:
Strategically draft and propose program-specific budgets including budget for student affairs, requirements for delivery/ execution of curriculum, cultural activities, select co/extracurricular activities, and ensure the availability of Faculty/ Fellows for smooth delivery of programmes
Proactively identify & manage key risks & dependencies to meet program objectives in stipulated timelines in coordination with internal/ external stakeholders. Example: managing deficient lecture hours, communication of attendance records, supporting exam team in timely declaration of results.
Compile reports on courses, manage workshops/ law clinics with in coordination with TRFs, faculty, and some functional heads. Example: collating external course review and execute student evaluations
Make suggestions and recommendations for improvements to the Dean / Head in the operational and executive work of the Program Team
Provide administrative support to the leadership team, participate in relevant committees and meetings, and contribute to the overall academic management of the School
Executive Work:
Collaborate with other departments and functional heads to ensure seamless operations and create content for website upload and keeping track of all academic, co/extra-curricular activities along with respective student committees/ council
Manage day-to-day administrative requirements of the program team, including implementation of time table, program budget, contract set-up when needed for visiting faculty, organizing field visits with faculty
Take a lead in periodic review of processes including the student handbooks, academic policies, exam regulations; and preparing any new program-related policies with Dean and concerned faculty.
Coordinate and support the Examination office and faculty to develop examination schedule, form moderation committee for the exam question papers, conduct examination and collate grades from faculty and publish semester results. Additionally, manage the post-exam process (collection of re-evaluation requests & coordinate with faculty)
Implement and execute academic and examination regulations including collating and publishing debarment list, collect, maintain, and analyse student grades program wise, monitor course delivery and whether courses are running on time
Ensure proactive and timely documentation on program performance indicators and timely communication on progress to internal and external stakeholders
Track overall programme execution including scheduling courses, managing class sizes, and ensuring effective core/ elective course offerings to meet student demand, and modify approach / work-plan, as needed, to meet overall program objectives
As and when required, interact with parents to address queries or any concerns regarding academic performance, attendance, honour code, and other procedural tasks.
Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including participating in relevant committees and meetings, for smooth operation of the institution
Administrative Work:
Prepare Academic Performance Dashboard that will provide meaningful feedback to students on their academic performance and identify students who are struggling and prepare a plan for them in coordination with faculty, fellows and authorities.
Oversee and maintain the attendance of the students including managing the process of collection of medical documents from students as reasons for absence from classes
Preferred Qualifications*
Master’s degree with 5-8 years of experience preferably in the Education Industry
Prior work experience in a law school, and cursory understanding of the regulatory requirements of attendance and examinations, are desirable but not mandatory
Proven experience as program manager or other managerial position
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
Go-getter attitude takes complete ownership of the targets as well as delivery portfolio
Ability to multitask and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication and networking skills, influencing & negotiation skills
Student centered professional in higher education with the ability and experience to interact and support a diverse student body in a positive, friendly, and welcoming manner.
Managing with cultural and social awareness and ability to have honest communication with sensitivity with parents. Ability to speak and understand Marathi should be preferred.
Understanding of Indian Higher Education landscape and related policies
Passion for building world class institutions of higher education, with a keen interest in legal education
Keen interest in technology
Be up to date in best postgraduate education principles and practices
