Position Overview: The Business Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Business Unit’s (BUs) operations, including strategy development, financial performance, and business growth. Ability to forecast financial performance, manage budgets & analyse financial risks. Skills in planning and proposing capital expenditures justifying investments in new technologies or facilities.
  • Business Development: Drive business development efforts, including expanding market share, developing new client relationships, and exploring new business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards. Identify and mitigate business risks effectively.
  • Innovation and Process Improvements: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Stay abreast of technological advancements and integrate them into the company’s operations. Drive Lean and ESG initiatives across the locations to get the benefit of reduced costs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role within the automotive or mechanical engineering industry. Proven track record in business development, operations management, and team leadership.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities. Excellent financial acumen, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data. Superior communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the automotive/mechanical components industry, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with the latest manufacturing technologies and processes.
