We are expanding our team in Mumbai and seeking a motivated and experienced professional to drive sales and build long-term client relationships.Role Summary:The Assistant Sales Manager will support business development activities and client acquisition in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics services, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to contribute to the company's growth in the Mumbai market.Key Responsibilities:Generate new business opportunities in air, sea, and road freight servicesBuild and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, and key clientsIdentify client requirements and propose customized logistics solutionsWork closely with operations and pricing teams to deliver competitive and accurate proposalsAchieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as per the company’s growth planPrepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysisStay updated with freight market trends, competitors, and pricing strategiesRepresent the company in client meetings, trade shows, and industry eventsCandidate Requirements:Graduate in any stream (BBA/MBA preferred)3–8 years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding/logistics industryStrong understanding of international logistics, INCOTERMS, and documentationProven ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage accountsExcellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skillsProficiency in MS OfficeStrong local network in the Pune logistics and shipping ecosystem is a plus
