PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops relationships and business knowledge and provides support to the Senior HR

Business Partner and Talent Management team on a range of human resources-related issues

while taking into account internal policy, best practices, relevant legislative frameworks, culture

and desired commercial outcome

 Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and

policies.

 Supports the Talent Management team in resolving employee relations issues.

 Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees,

reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as

needed/required.

 Provides support in terms of day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching,

counseling, career development, individual development plans, performance improvement plans,

disciplinary actions).

 Assists in managing the headcount planning and budgeting process for assigned client groups.

 Supports the Talent Management team with executing projects in support of the strategic

agenda.

 Assists in the development of employee programs that fall within the scope of the Talent

Management team.

 Serves as a key contact for employee questions on a variety of HR matters. Provides HR policy

guidance and interpretation.

 Partners with the Senior HRBP and the Talent Acquisition team to assess candidates and

provide value-add input into hiring decisions and compensation terms, as appropriate.

 Partners with the Senior HRBP and Compensation team in support of the annual compensation

process to ensure pay-for-performance and by providing managers with relevant market data to

aid in decision-making.

 Facilitates voluntary and involuntary separations and conducts exit interviews and separation

meetings.

 Facilitates employee transfers and promotions.

 Facilitates the performance management process to ensure quality reviews and a high rate of

participation.


Job Title: HR Business Partner

Department: Human Resources

Location: Mumbai

 Researches and assists in organizing learning and development opportunities. Assists in

determining needs, selecting providers and overseeing course set-up and logistics.

 Special projects and other tasks as required.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

 Bachelor’s Degree required

 Advanced degree or other HR certifications a plus

Experience Required:

 Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources and at least 3 years of experience in an HR

Business Partner or another client-facing HR type of position

 Prior financial services or professional services experience strongly desired

General Requirements:

 Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, and federal and state employment law

 Strong attention to detail, highly organized and process-driven

 Strong multi-tasking and follow through skills and a strong client service orientation

 Strong team ethic and the ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with

clients and HR

 Good judgment

 Acts as an employee champion and change agent

 The ability and willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and operate both tactically and strategically –

a hands-on approach

 Strong Microsoft Office skills

 Strong analytical skills
