About BreakoutBreakout is an inbound AI SDR used by companies like CaptivateIQ, Ketch, and AirGarage to turn website visitors into hand-raisers. We’re early, founder-led, and laser-focused on the US market. This is our first sales hire. You’ll shape the playbook from day one.About the RoleWe’re building Breakout’s go-to-market engine from the ground up. As our Founding SDR to AE, you’ll own the full outbound motion: targeting focus accounts, researching prospects, crafting personalized sequences, and booking sales calls. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the founder to iterate fast, fail forward, and eventually close deals.This is an outbound-only role with a clear path to owning accounts. You’ll report directly to the founder and partner tightly with Marketing & Product to refine targeting, share prospect insights, and evolve our sequences.On any given day you might find yourself:Nurture target account lists and book qualified sales callsResearch companies and build high-intent prospect listsDevelop and execute multi-touchpoint outbound campaignsDeeply understand customer GTM challenges and position Breakout as the solutionPartner with Marketing & Product to sharpen targeting and outbound playbooksHelp blueprint scalable sales processes for Breakout’s next phaseAbout YouYou might be a good fit if you thrive in ambiguity and want to build something big. Ideally, you bring:Outbound SDR experience selling marketing or GTM toolsProven ability to research prospects and personalize outreach at scaleExcellent written/verbal communicationAn iterative, experiment-driven mindset; comfortable failing fastPassion or curiosity for AI GTM toolsAbility to collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Marketing, CS, etc.)Enterprise experience is a plus, not requiredComfort in a fast-paced, early-stage environmentEven Better If YouAre proficient with the SaaS GTM stack (Apollo, Smartlead, Clay, LGM, etc.)Find ways to stay up on the latest trends in AIHave experience with techStay upbeat, understanding that each no is one closer to a yesWhy JoinWork directly with the founder on strategy, messaging, and dealsOwn the entire outbound engine; no hand-offs, no silosTransition to closing and owning accounts as you prove impactEquity in a high-growth AI startup targeting the US marketBe the blueprint for Breakout’s future sales teamApply if you’re excited to sell AI to US revenue leaders and build the sales function from scratch.
