WordBerries | Sr Project Manager and Content Lead

About the role -

Once the order is in, you take full ownership as the end-to-end project manager. You bridge the client and creator team, ensuring briefs are understood, timelines met, and quality delivered. Beyond client-servicing, this role demands editorial and research acumen to guide creators effectively. You align project timelines, anticipate challenges, and address them proactively. Responsibilities include translating client requirements, coaching creators, reviewing content for quality, and providing updates to clients. In crises or for creative needs, you may occasionally write content. Ultimately, you ensure projects are completed on time, non-plagiarized, and aligned with client expectations. Ownership is paramount at WB.
Client Servicing + Editorial Bent + Creator & Project Management → Sr Client Lead
Responsibilities -
- Understanding the client’s requirement
- Charting timeline expectations and drive the project
- Driving the client’s brief jointly with the internal team
- Researching and understanding the industry, target audience (TG) and writing accordingly - the brand, competition, industry and match tonality and guidelines
- Wearing the brand hat, research and be able to disseminate information internally
- Keeping abreast with competition content for WordBerries as well as the clients
- Identifying (review portfolios, conduct copy tests and evaluate) and managing writer/creator partner relations, managing writer redressal and payments
- Coaching writers - providing them with feedback and proof-reading their work through premium versions of Grammarly and Copyscape
- Proofreading, quality check and creative inputs for the writer’s work, checking for alignment with the client’s brief
- Follow up with internal teams for job delivery as per timelines committed, always maintaining client deadlines
- Writing content across all formats (blogs, websites, brochures, scripts, Quora, newsletter, social media and award entries), lengths, in a variety of sectors
- Serving as a day-to-day point of client contact, manage client feedback and operational job requirements
- Monitoring the project overall for timelines and checking for any deviation.
- Minuting meetings clearly
- Analyzing performance of content created, measure impact of delivery
- From time to time, depending on the organization’s needs, you may have to temporarily cover responsibilities apart from the ones mentioned above
- Job is to NOT be a postman between client and the creator. You have to be the indispensable bridge between the two

Requirements -
- MBA Marketing or MA in journalism - mass media, advertising, marketing, content management, preferably from an agency
- Minimum experience of 3-4years
- Excellent command over English - spoken & written should be fluent in conversing with clients - perfect about the hyphens and the dots
- Should be eager to research and work across industries and sectors
- Should be good at excel/MIS, numbers in general
- Feels accountable for the wins and considers loss as personal.
- Is dependable - things get done without internal reminders and follow-up·
- Project Management and foresight - treats time as money, can break down a brief into smaller steps and provision the next steps
- Gritty and resilient - someone who does not let go unless done and bounces back quickly in times of a crisis
- Needs to have own laptop with MS Windows loaded
