FUNCTION: Manager – Business Development (Hospitality & Food Processing)

LOCATION: Hyderabad or Bengaluru - India

JOB TYPE: Permanent

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

As a key driver of Envu's outreach and business expansion within the hotel and food industries, you will spearhead efforts to identify and prospect new opportunities, engage customers, and present tailored pest management solutions that meet their unique needs. By working closely with the sales team, you will ensure a seamless handover of leads, contributing directly to the company’s growth and achievement of sales targets. Your role will involve integrating Envu’s products and standard operating procedures (SOPs) into clients' Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for pest management, offering detailed, customized product recommendations that enhance the effectiveness of pest control strategies. This will not only strengthen customer relationships but also drive direct sales growth for Envu India, helping to expand its footprint within these critical sectors.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

Prospect Identification and Customer Outreach

- Build a comprehensive list of prospective clients in the hotel and food industries who require pest control solutions.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to understand the unique needs and potential challenges faced by these industries.
- Develop strong pipelines by actively prospecting and networking within these sectors.

Customer Engagement and Needs Assessment

- Engage with potential clients to understand their pest management requirements and perform detailed audits on-site.
- Tailor Envu’s pest management solutions to address specific customer pain points, positioning Envu as a trusted advisor and provider.

Product Presentation and Solution Development

- Present Envu’s product portfolio, incorporating customized recommendations aligned with each client’s needs.
- Ensure that Envu’s products and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are included in clients' Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to drive sales growth.

Sales Collaboration and Lead Management

- Coordinate closely with the Envu sales team, ensuring a smooth handover of qualified leads for conversion.
- Regularly follow up with the sales team to track the progress of leads, gather customer feedback, and ensure seamless client engagement.

Forecasting and Strategic Planning

- Develop and present business forecasts and projections to align with Envu’s growth objectives in the pest management sector.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to support Envu’s positioning and long-term presence within the hospitality and food industries.

Awareness Building and Industry Advocacy

- Lead awareness campaigns and represent Envu’s pest management solutions at industry events, conferences, and seminars. Become spokesperson for Envu’s HORECA segment.
- Strengthen Envu’s brand and establish strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.

Deal Closure and Target Achievement

- Actively drive the entire sales cycle to closure, ensuring that all stages of the process are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Consistently meet and exceed targets, contributing to Envu’s revenue goals and market share growth.

Business Growth and Relationship Management

- Explore new business opportunities, deepen existing client relationships, and maintain an active industry presence to enhance Envu’s market footprint.

Key Working Relationships:

- Internal: Marketing Managers, Sales Managers (Zonal, Area, Key Accounts)
- External: Hotel & Food Processing Industry Customers, EPEA Members, Key Account PCO’s, PCO’s, Distributors etc.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Main requirements:

- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Pest Management, or a related field, MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional Experience: Industry Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the pest control, hospitality, or food service sectors.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in business development roles, with a strong record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and fostering business growth.
- Technical Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with pest control solutions, sanitation standards, and relevant industry regulations is a plus.
- Product & Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of pest control products and their application within commercial settings. Familiarity with pest management protocols and environmental health standards. Knowledgeable about industry-specific challenges in the Hotel and Food Industry, especially regarding pest control and hygiene.
- Time Management and Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously, with attention to prioritizing high-impact activities. Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records, reports, and follow-ups with clients and sales team members.
