Job PurposeThe purpose of an investigator in an HR ethics and compliance role is to ensure that workplace behavior aligns with legal standards, organizational policies, and ethical norms—protecting both employees and the company.Duties and Responsibilities1. Case Intake & Triage• Review incoming reports from Whistleblower, HR, or other channels.• Assess severity, credibility, and urgency to prioritize cases.• Determine whether the issue falls under E&C scope or needs referral to another function (e.g., Legal, HRBP).2. Evidence Collection• Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and subjects.• Gather and analyze documents, emails, chat logs, CCTV footage, and other digital evidence.• Maintain chain of custody and ensure data privacy throughout.3. Analysis & Findings• Evaluate facts against company policies, legal standards, and ethical norms.• Identify patterns, root causes, and systemic risks.• Ensure objectivity and avoid bias in interpretation.4. Reporting & Documentation• Draft clear, factual investigation reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.• Document all steps taken, evidence reviewed, and rationale for decisions.• Submit reports to E&C leadership, HR, or Legal as appropriate.5. Remediation & Follow-Up• Recommend disciplinary actions, policy changes, or training needs.• Track implementation of corrective measures.• Monitor for retaliation against whistleblowers or involved parties.6. Stakeholder Engagement• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications.• Educate employees on investigation protocols and ethical conduct.7. Work Related Travela. Conducting Ethics & Compliance Trainingo Deliver in-person workshops and awareness sessions on company policies, code of conduct, anti-harassment, and anti-bribery.o Engage with regional teams to reinforce ethical culture and behavioral expectations.b. Investigations & Auditso Travel to sites or offices to conduct internal investigations into reported misconduct, policy violations, or whistleblower cases.o Perform compliance audits to ensure adherence to labor laws, workplace standards, and internal controls.Key Decisions / Dimensions• Arriving at a Prioritization of the case based on potential harm, legal exposure, or reputational risk.• Any deviation from the set HR Compliance StaircaseMajor Challenges• Limited access to information• Maintaining confidentiality• Resistance from leadershipRequired Qualifications and Experiencea) Qualifications• Post Graduates with relevant sales experience of 5-8 years (also graduates with experience of 8-10 years may apply)b) Work Experience• Relevant sales experience in Case investigation understanding legalities around action taken• Prior & relevant experience in the Financial Services Industry would be an added advantage.• Demonstrated success & achievement orientation.• Excellent communication skills.• Strong bias for action & driving results in a high performance environment.• Demonstrated ability to lead from the front.• Excellent relationship skills.• Strong analytical skills to drive channel performance and drive profitability.• Exceptionally high motivational levels and needs to be a self-starter.
