We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Retail Manager – General Trade to spearhead our sales efforts in the general trade segment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a team. This role is tailored for a sales-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive and achieve sales targets for the general trade channel by leading and motivating a Sales team across regions.
• Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company objectives, ensuring consistent growth in revenue and market share.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management for the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, achievement, and collaboration.
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to penetrate new markets and increase brand presence in the general trade segment.
• Identify and onboard new retail stores, ensuring optimal coverage and product placement in the general trade market, as & when needed.
• Build and expand a network of distributors, negotiating terms and fostering long-term partnerships to ensure seamless product availability and delivery.
• Monitor sales performance, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and address challenges.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with trade partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and market understanding.
• Address and resolve operational and logistical challenges in collaboration with internal stakeholders and trade partners.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 3+ years of proven experience in general trade sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, or e-commerce sectors.
• Demonstrated success in store onboarding, distributor onboarding, and team management.
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in sales analytics and reporting tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with minimal supervision.
