Retail Manager- (Modern trade)

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, proactive self-starter, someone with strong work ethic, with sales/ modern trade experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key modern trade chains, ensuring product availability, visibility, and optimal shelf placement.
  • Identify and secure co-branding opportunities with complementary brands to amplify reach and customer engagement.
  • Design and execute innovative marketing campaigns tailored for modern trade outlets to drive footfall and sales.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets, ensuring a balanced focus on volume and profitability.
  • Plan and monitor in-store promotions and activations in collaboration with the marketing team to enhance product visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Track the performance of marketing campaigns, fleet operations, and sales efforts, providing actionable insights to optimize strategies.
  • Lead discussions on margins, placement fees, and other contractual terms with modern trade partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes, fostering long-term partnerships to ensure seamless product availability and delivery.
  • Manage and guide field sales teams to ensure consistent execution of modern trade strategies across regions.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in modern trade sales and marketing, preferably in FMCG, retail, or a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of the balance between marketing and sales.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in brand collaborations and joint marketing initiatives is a plus.
