The Electrical Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the sales and growth of electrical products and solutions in South Gujarat. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, strategic sales planning, and strong relationship-building skills. The manager will lead the sales team, manage client accounts, ensure customer satisfaction, and meet sales targets for electrical & industrial automation products.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Market Penetration:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand the business across South Gujarat in the electrical domain.
- Identify new business opportunities by researching market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Target potential clients across various sectors, including manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, and utilities, to promote electrical products and solutions.
Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:
- Establish annual sales targets, ensuring alignment with company goals and regional potential.
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and closing of opportunities.
- Track sales performance and costs, making necessary adjustments to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, including project managers, contractors, consultants, and end-users.
- Regularly meet with clients to assess their electrical requirements and offer tailored solutions.
- Address customer queries technical concerns, and provide exceptional after-sales support to maintain client satisfaction.
Product Knowledge & Recommendations:
- Utilize deep technical knowledge of electrical systems to recommend appropriate solutions based on customer requirements, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and consultation to clients during the pre-sales phase to ensure the best product fit for their needs.
- Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies, industry trends, and product innovations.
Sales Presentations & Technical Support:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to customers, showcasing the company’s electrical products, solutions, and services.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for customers to ensure optimal product usage and functionality.
- Coordinate with the engineering or technical team to address specific client needs or complex technical requirements.
Team Leadership & Coaching:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and enhance individual performance.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to the sales team, ensuring the team is equipped with product knowledge and effective sales techniques.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, idea sharing, and creative problem-solving.
Project Management Support:
- Oversee key projects to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Liaise with the project management team to ensure the successful execution of large electrical installations, including troubleshooting any on-site issues.
- Ensure coordination between the sales team, technical staff, and logistics to meet customer project timelines.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
- Continuously monitor the electrical market in South Gujarat to stay ahead of industry developments and customer demands.
- Analyze competitor products, pricing, and strategies to adapt and improve the company’s approach to sales.
- Provide feedback to the product management team on market trends and customer preferences to help shape future product offerings.
Sales Reporting & CRM Management:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, ensuring full transparency and alignment with business objectives.
- Track customer interactions and sales history to ensure effective follow-up and personalized service.
Travel & Regional Representation:
- Travel regularly across South Gujarat to meet with existing and potential clients, attend industry events, and monitor regional market trends.
- Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and other industry-related events to build brand awareness and generate new leads.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Sales, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 10-15 years in electrical sales, preferably in the industrial, construction, or manufacturing sectors, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical products, systems, and applications such as power distribution, electrical panels, automation systems, and industrial controls.
- Sales & Negotiation Skills: Excellent sales techniques, including prospecting, qualifying leads, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading a sales team, including coaching, training, and motivating team members to reach individual and collective goals.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges, provide solutions, and manage customer expectations effectively.
- Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel frequently within the region to meet clients, attend site visits, and conduct product demonstrations.
- CRM & Reporting: Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and generate sales reports.
