Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to assist in the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting principles and be eager to learn and grow in a professional finance environment. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting various accounting tasks including bookkeeping, invoice processing, reconciliations, assisting with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance work. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounts.Key Responsibilities:1. Bookkeeping and Data Entry: Record daily financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Maintain proper ledgers for accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and bank. Update and maintain accounting records and documents accurately in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.). 2. Invoice and Billing Support: Generate customer invoices and follow up on payment status. Record vendor bills and ensure timely payment processing. Match purchase orders with invoices and delivery notes. Ensure proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing transactions. 3. Bank and Account Reconciliation: Assist in preparing and verifying bank reconciliations for company accounts. Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly. Track pending payments and dues and escalate discrepancies if found. 4. Taxation and Statutory Compliance (under supervision): Assist in calculation and filing of GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes. Help maintain necessary documents for statutory audits. Stay updated with the latest tax rules and compliance requirements (training will be provided). 5. Support in Payroll and Expense Management: Help process employee reimbursements and maintain supporting bills. Assist in the preparation of salary statements and PF/ESI deductions. Maintain records of staff advances, loans, or deductions. 6. Month-End and Year-End Assistance: Assist in month-end closing procedures. Help prepare financial reports such as trial balance, profit & loss account, and balance sheet under guidance. Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation. 7. Documentation and Filing: Organize and file all physical and digital accounting records. Ensure all invoices, receipts, bills, and reports are backed up and easily retrievable. 8. General Administrative Support (Finance Dept.): Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts. Support the finance team in day-to-day operations. Communicate with vendors, customers, and banks for financial queries.Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles (debit/credit, ledgers, journals). Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, Busy, etc.). Proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, basic formulas). Understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance (even if at a beginner level). Soft Skills: Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and calculations. Time management and organizational skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Integrity and ability to handle confidential information. Willingness to learn and take initiative.
