Job Description

Expertise in B2B market development, distribution network expansion, depot and consignment agent management, tender participation, logistics coordination, stockyard operations, and commercial contract oversight. Proven ability to manage marketing teams, develop strategic sales plans, lead tendering processes, and optimize end-to-end supply chain activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing Domestic (Steel Products)

- Handled Pan India domestic sales and marketing of Sponge Iron, MS Billets, and Pellets
- Developed strong market presence through corporate buyers, distributors, dealers, agents, and consignment agents across multiple states including Chhattisgarh, MP, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, UP, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Odisha
- Set up depots/stockyards and consignment agents in key regions to enhance supply chain effectiveness
- Focused on brand development, agent onboarding, and financial target achievement
- Developed B2B marketing strategies, conducted competitive analysis, and monitored market trends
- Identified target markets, formulated communication strategies, and explored ways to improve product offerings and profitability
- Liaised with internal departments such as sales, distribution, and production to ensure business alignment
- Managed and monitored the production of promotional materials, event participation, and marketing campaigns
- Generated actionable insights and recommendations for top management based on market findings
- Led the preparation and management of marketing budgets and business plans

Tender & Bid Management

- Monitored and executed tenders and e-auctions related to Sponge Iron and Pellet Ore
- Attended pre-bid meetings, coordinated customer interactions for bid clarifications
- Prepared technical and price bids; attended technical and financial bid openings and negotiation meetings
- Developed costing sheets, secured management approvals, and maintained documentation for won tenders

Stockyard & Logistics Operations

- Independently managed steel stockyards with a strong command over dispatch, excise, taxation, and yard operations
- Addressed customer complaints and resolved issues at multiple levels
- Coordinated railway logistics for high-volume movements and implemented hub-and-spoke transportation models
- Negotiated freight rates and engaged with fleet owners to optimize delivery costs and efficiency

Contract & Commercial Management

- Headed the contract cell, overseeing all outsourced services in manufacturing and logistics
- Managed contracts related to:
- Internal and outbound logistics
- Railway siding operations
- Raw material handling and plant feeding
- Equipment and manpower supply
- Civil repair and maintenance
- Mining operations
- O&M contracts and consulting engagements
- Ensured timely execution, compliance, and performance tracking of contracts
- Oversaw commercial aspects of vendor management, service contracts, and operational support agreements
