Key Responsibilities Individual Counseling Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students facing emotional academic or personal issues Group Sessions Conduct workshops and group counseling sessions on stress management exam anxiety self-esteem and other student-related issues Crisis Intervention Offer immediate support and guidance in cases of crisis or emergency situations Assessments and Referrals Conduct psychological assessments and if necessary refer students to external mental health professionals Confidentiality and Ethics Maintain strict confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines in counseling Collaboration Work closely with faculty administration and student support teams to create a supportive campus environment Awareness Programs Organize awareness programs and campaigns to promote mental health and well-being Documentation Maintain records of counseling sessions progress and reports for evaluation and follow-up Qualifications and Skills Educational Requirement Masters degree or higher in Psychology Counseling or a related field Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in student counseling or adolescent psychology is preferred Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Empathy patience and a non-judgmental attitude Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Knowledge of adolescent and young adult mental health issues Certifications Certification from a recognized counseling body is preferred but not mandatory
