Position Overview: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners, and expanding market share across the assigned region. The role requires a dynamic sales leader with deep knowledge of the lubricant and automotive industry, capable of building strong dealer networks, motivating teams, and achieving aggressive sales targets. Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development - Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets. - Identify new market opportunities, distributors, and OEM clients for lubricants, grease, and coolant segments. - Manage and expand dealer/distributor network within the assigned territory. - Ensure product availability, visibility, and penetration across all sales channels. Team Management - Lead, guide, and motivate a team of Territory Sales Officers (TSOs) / Area Sales Managers (ASMs). - Conduct regular sales reviews, performance appraisals, and team training sessions. - Foster a performance-driven culture focused on results and accountability. Market & Competitor Analysis - Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns. - Collect and analyze market intelligence to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities. - Provide actionable feedback to the marketing and product development teams. Channel Management - Strengthen relationships with key distributors, retailers, and industrial customers. - Resolve distributor issues related to credit, supply, and logistics. - Implement trade schemes, promotional activities, and loyalty programs to enhance channel engagement. Reporting & Coordination - Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and MIS reports for management review. - Coordinate closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations. - Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and regional marketing events. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Achievement of regional sales targets and market share growth. - Dealer/distributor network expansion and retention. - Team performance and productivity. - New product penetration and sales mix improvement. - Timely reporting and compliance with company policies. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Mechanical Engineering. MBA preferred. - Experience: Minimum 712 years of sales experience in the lubricant / automotive oil / industrial product sector, with at least 3 years in a regional leadership role. - Skills: - Strong leadership and negotiation skills - Excellent communication and analytical ability - Dealer/distributor management expertise - Proven record of achieving sales targets - Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools Compensation: - Competitive salary with performance-linked incentives, travel allowances, and other benefits as per company policy.
