Introduction August Energy ("AE") is a developer and long-term owner and operator of energy infrastructure assets, helping high quality industrial and commercial customers meet their decarbonisation goals, profitably, and at scale. We provide a comprehensive set of proven and customised energy as a service ("EaaS") solutions including renewable energy, energy storage, cooling & heating, heat recovery, compressed air and bioenergy. We do this, in partnership with technology providers, local project developers, engineering firms, advisors and local operators, by developing, owning and operating the assets for our customers, allowing them to focus their resources, capital and team on their core business. Headquartered in Singapore, with teams and offices in Thailand, India and the Philippines, we work with our customers across Southeast Asia and India. Job Summary: This will be a strategic leadership role responsible for managing the financial aspects of solar, BESS, cooling & heating projects. This role involves financial modeling, debt raising, stakeholder management, and coordination across internal and external teams to ensure successful project financing. Key Responsibilities: · Lead fundraising efforts with banks, NBFCs, export credit agencies, and international financial institutions; · Structure financial deals and negotiate terms to optimize capital structure; · Lead and coordinate with internal teams (legal, technical, commercial) and external advisors for due diligence and financial structuring; · Take primary responsibility for the review and negotiation of all financing and security documentation, working with legal counsels (internal and external); · Own and maintain project finance models to support the fundraising transactions; · Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal approvals and board committees; · Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, legal firms, rating agencies, and consultants; · Lead cross-functional workstreams including tax, accounting, and compliance; · Support the commercial team in reviewing the bankability of project contracts; · Lead the preparation and submission of all periodic lender compliance reports, including calculating and monitoring financial covenants; · Manage all post-closing financial operations and reporting for the project portfolio and act as the primary financial point of contact for lenders. Other Position requirements · Job located in Delhi (India); · Travelling in India, and occasionally in Southeast Asia; · Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field; · Preferred: MBA, CA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree; · 6+ years of experience in project finance, preferably with infrastructure developers, banks, or financial advisory firms; · Proven track record in financial modeling, fundraising, and deal structuring. · Spirit of dedication and teamwork; · Resourceful and self-driven; · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
