Overview

We are seeking a Product Technology Director to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative SaaS-based products. This role requires a strong technical foundation with hands-on coding experience, proven success in building scalable SaaS solutions, and a track record of products that have achieved measurable adoption (subscribers, downloads, and growth metrics).

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end product technology strategy and execution for SaaS-based platforms.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, including architecture design, code reviews, and development contributions.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Business Teams to align product development with customer needs and market opportunities.
- Drive the scalability, security, and performance of SaaS platforms.
- Establish and maintain best practices for coding, testing, deployment, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering innovation and excellence.
- Ensure products meet compliance, privacy, and security standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Proven track record of developing SaaS-based products from concept to launch.
- Hands-on coding experience in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Nextjs, Reactjs, Node.js PostgreSQL databases etc).
- Demonstrated success with real-world products that achieved significant adoption – with evidence of subscribers, downloads, and user growth.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and SaaS deployment models.
- Expertise in system architecture, API design, microservices, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience as a technology leader in a SaaS startup or high-growth company.
- Exposure to AI/ML, data analytics, or mobile-first SaaS products.
- Demonstrated ability to scale technology teams and manage distributed engineering groups.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology with product-market fit and growth strategy.
