New Product Development Manager

Job Description Job Title: Manager - New Product Development (NPD) Location: Lucknow Industry: Aluminium Radiator / Charge Air Cooler/ oil cooler / Heat Exchanger Manufacturing Specialization: Agriculture /Off-road, Construction / Bar and Plate Construction Coolers applications Job Summary: The Manager - NPD will lead and manage the end-to-end new product development process focused on aluminium radiators / charge air-cooler / oil coolers and heat exchangers used in Agriculture / power gen/ off-road and construction equipment industries. This role requires expertise in Tube and Fin/bar and plate construction coolers and demands strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, quality, and marketing teams to deliver robust, innovative cooling solutions that meet customer and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the NPD process from concept, design, prototyping, testing, to product launch for aluminum radiators and bar and plate heat exchangers tailored for off-road and construction/ agriculture / power gen applications. - Collaborate with R&D, engineering design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with performance and regulatory requirements. - Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for innovative product development. - Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve on-time and on-budget delivery of new products. - Oversee testing protocols including thermal performance, durability, vibration resistance, and corrosion resistance relevant to the above . - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product design for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. - Ensure all new products comply with applicable quality standards and internal quality protocols. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams involved in product development. - Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications: - Bachelor'sdegree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in new product development, preferably in the aluminum radiator, heat exchanger, or related thermal management sector for off-road/ power gen/ agricultureand heavy construction equipment. - Expertise in bar and plate cooler construction technology, materials selection, and manufacturing processes. - Strong project management skills with proven success leading multi-disciplinary teams. - Excellent understanding of thermal and mechanical design principles, testing methods, and regulatory standards for heat exchangers. - Hands-on experience with prototype development, product validation, and quality assurance in an industrial manufacturing environment. - Proficiency in CAD tools and project management software. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of corrosion prevention techniques and galvanized/aluminum welding/brazing processes. - Experience with off-road vehicle cooling system requirements and environmental challenges. - Familiarity with supplier management and contract negotiation for components and raw material. - Quality management system certifications such as ISO 9001/45001& 14001 exposure and compliance - Specialized training or certification in thermal systems, fluid mechanics (CFD/FEA), or heat exchanger design .
