Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) - GM Agro and Beverages
Location: Andhra Pradesh & Telangana
Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to oversee beverage sales operations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for appointing super stockists, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and driving overall growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, appoint, and manage super stockists/distributors across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to ensure market coverage and product availability.
- Develop, implement, and monitor region-specific sales strategies to achieve sales and distribution targets.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of sales executives, setting targets and monitoring their performance.
- Plan, recruit, and allocate manpower based on market requirements to maximize efficiency and business growth.
- Must handle required advertisements for promoting products in the region.
- Plan and execute logistical operations necessary for the successful delivery of the project.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with channel partners, key customers, and trade stakeholders.
- Conduct regular market visits to oversee operations, gather market intelligence, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Analyze sales trends, identify opportunities, and propose corrective actions for underperforming territories.
- Ensure effective implementation of trade promotions, new product launches, and market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor receivables, credit control, and resolve supply-chain/logistics issues in coordination with stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in beverages/FMCG sales, preferably with exposure to AP & Telangana markets.
- Proven track record in appointing and managing super stockiest and distribution networks.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
- Proficiency in Telugu or relevant local languages is an advantage.
