What You ll DoWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Employee Relations ER Global Lead to design execute and standardize our global ER strategy across diverse geographies This leadership role will increase operational efficiency foster a culture of fairness and accountability and ensure application of ER policies and practices worldwide You are an analytical who can balance strategic vision with tactical execution while promoting a positive employee experience Youl will report to Senior Director This is an Individual Contributor role Job Location Pune What Your Responsibilities Will BeGlobal Strategy Standardization You will Design and implement a comprehensive global employee relations strategy that aligns with business objectives and fosters a fair inclusive and compliant workplace Standardize ER processes and frameworks across all geographies while accounting for local legal and cultural nuances Establish metrics KPIs to measure the effectiveness of ER programs and drive continuous improvement You will Investigate ER cases for India region and oversee the consistent handling and resolution of complex and sensitive ER cases across regions ensuring alignment with company values and legal compliance Implement efficient case management systems to track analyze and report on ER trends and outcomes Provide expert guidance on employee disputes performance management investigations and policy violations You will Partner with HR Business Partners Legal Compliance and senior leadership to provide strategic ER insights and support decision-making Advise and coach leaders on best practices for addressing employee concerns mitigating risk and fostering a positive work environment Lead the development and delivery of ER training and communication initiatives for managers and employees globally Operational Efficiency Ownership You will Design scalable and efficient workflows that enable rapid and consistent execution of ER processes across global teams Ensure investigations while maintaining confidentiality and minimizing organizational risk Take ownership of global ER initiatives driving accountability and delivering measurable outcomes You will Leverage data analytics to identify patterns assess organizational health and provide actionable insights for proactive ER strategies Monitor emerging trends and external benchmarks to refine ER practices and enhance employee experience Prepare present regular reports on ER metrics key findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership What You ll Need to be Successful 8 years of progressive experience in employee relations labor relations or HR with a minimum of 3 years leading global ER initiatives Proven track record of designing and implementing global ER strategies and processes Knowledge of international labor laws compliance frameworks and cultural sensitivities Exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to handle complex confidential matters with empathy Have Analytical mindset with expertise in using data to inform decision-making and measure outcomes Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across geographies and organizational levels Bachelor s degree in human resources Business Administration or a related field advanced degree or relevant certifications e g PHR SHRM-SCP LI-Onsite How We ll Take Care of YouTotal RewardsIn addition to a great compensation package paid time off and paid parental leave many Avalara employees are eligible for bonuses Health Wellness Benefits vary by location but generally include private medical life and disability insurance Inclusive culture and diversity Avalara strongly supports diversity equity and inclusion and is committed to integrating them into our business practices and our organizational culture We also have a total of 8 employee-run resource groups each with senior leadership and exec sponsorship Learn more about our benefits by region here What You Need To Know About AvalaraWere Avalara Were defining the relationship between tax and tech Weve already built an industry-leading cloud compliance platform processing nearly 40 billion customer API calls and over 5 million tax returns a year and this year we became a billion-dollar business Our growth is real and were not slowing down until weve achieved our mission -
