Our solutions are a key part of most industries - electronics medical research renewable energy food production infrastructure and many more Working with us means working with the latest technologies and groundbreaking sustainable innovations Join us on our journey for a better tomorrow Your RoleMissionWe are looking for Engineer Senior Engineer in Tooling competence Your Mission will be design develop various tools You have to also guide Junior designers as well as mentor external colleagues in order to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality designs Additionally you will contribute to Tooling Competence development activity within the limits of GECIA processes structure and guidelines The main responsibilities will be Project Execution Understanding scope of work in the projects Follow design practices work instructions checklists on the tasks handled and carry out the CAD checking It will be your challenge to further develop expand the scope of activities while working as a good team member To work on finalizing the output drawings and ensure timely delivery with no compromise on quality To take the ownership of the projects till their closure Work Planning and Mentoring Estimation and planning of the assigned work Interact with project leaders and customers present discuss the proposed designs carry out design reviews Share lessons learnt from the projects with the team Participate in daily and weekly project meetings to present status report and clarify queries Coaching and Mentoring of junior employees external employees whenever required Participate in Competence development activities and contribute to develop it further To succeed you will needKnowledge requirement Hands on experience in designing various types of tools like Lifting tools assembly tools special purpose tools measuring tools Basic strength calculations Basic knowledge of Hydraulics Pneumatics Knowledge with Automation systems like Sensors Actuators PLC would be added advantage Hands on experience of any 3D software for 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation Lean manufacturing techniques for designing of tools In depth knowledge of various Manufacturing Heat treatment processes with their influence on cost Material selection capabilities understanding of global engineering standards e g ISO DIN etc would be an advantage Creating manufacturing drawings with application of GD T Good analytical skills Experience in Robotic cell or system design would be an added advantage Education Experience requirementBE B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 4 to 7 years experience in Tool and Machine Design with exposure to Automation techniques Personality Requirements Self-Committed Excellent communicator verbal and written skills Good Mentoring Coaching skills Team player Software Skills - Catia or any 3D modelling software AutoCAD Country and city description - Base location - GECIA Hinjawadi Pune India Travel to customer location for business purpose or long and short term assignment 20 In return we offer youAtlas Copco is a home of industrial ideas It is 150 Years old Organization Atlas Copco GECIA is a Global Engineering Centre of Atlas Copco based in Hinjawadi Pune As a part of this organization you will be exposed to international projects for manufacturing Segments You shall be working on implementing the latest technologies Platforms under Industry 4 0 City PuneLast Day to Apply25-Sep-24Diverse by nature and inclusive by choice Bright ideas come from all of us The more unique perspectives we embrace the more innovative we are Together we build a culture where difference is valued and we share a deep sense of purpose and belonging
