Job Title: Progressive Tool Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced tool design professional to assume key responsibilities in the development of progressive press tools.

  • Design and detail progressive press tools for various manufacturing applications.
  • Lead the coordination of trim line and progressive tool development, including strip layout creation for new components.
  • Interpret part drawings to conceptualize and design strip layouts considering blanking, piercing, forming, and cutting stages.
  • Oversee all aspects of tool development, including design feasibility, tooling design, simulation, manufacturing, and validation.
  • Optimize strip layout for material utilization, tool life, and manufacturability.
  • Develop detailed 2D/3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and refine designs to meet performance, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Create dies, jigs, fixtures, and custom tooling solutions from concept to production.
  • Validate designs using testing, simulations, and engineering calculations.

Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in tool design, ME, or equivalent, preferably from NTTF or IGTR. A minimum of 4 years of experience in tool design and development is required.
