Advanced Progressive Tool Designer

**Job Description:**

Our organization is seeking an experienced Progressive Tool Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in progressive press tool design, with a solid foundation in ViSi software and a strong understanding of end-to-end tool design, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in designing and detailing of Progressive Press Tools using ViSi, AutoCAD, CATIA V5, UG NX. Key responsibilities will include leading trim line and progressive tool development, including strip layout creation for new components, interpreting part drawings to conceptualize and design strip layouts considering blanking, piercing, forming, and cutting stages, coordinating all aspects of tool development including design feasibility, tooling design, simulation, manufacturing, and validation, optimizing strip layout for material utilization, tool life, and manufacturability, developing detailed 2D/3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation, executing tolerance analysis and refining designs to meet performance, efficiency, and safety standards, creating dies, jigs, fixtures, and custom tooling solutions from concept to production, performing design validation using testing, simulations, and engineering calculations, conducting design feasibility studies and benchmarking against competitors, collaborating with product development, manufacturing, and quality teams for seamless integration, troubleshooting design issues and implementing cost-effective, reliable solutions, managing tooling and automation projects including procurement, scheduling, fabrication, and delivery, overseeing prototype development, production trials, and pre-production validation, supporting production during tool tryouts, commissioning, and debugging, coordinating with vendors and suppliers for material selection, timelines, and cost optimization, attending and contributing to weekly design and cross-functional meetings, participating in peer design reviews and preparing project documentation, providing progress updates, reports, and technical presentations to internal stakeholders, supporting training and guidance for junior engineers or technicians, ensuring compliance with GD&T, SPC, DOE, and applicable industry standards and regulations, conducting root cause analysis for tooling issues and implementing corrective actions, maintaining proper records, CAD files, and documentation as per QMS standards.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Progressive Press Tool Design.
• Proven track record in using AutoCAD, CATIA V5, UG NX, ViSi.
