Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Asset Manager (SAM) to lead and optimize software and hardware asset management across the France region, supporting a user base of approximately 35,000 end users. The role&aposs primary responsibility is managing Office 365 license lifecycle, with additional oversight of other enterprise software licenses (e.g., Druva) and hardware asset management.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and reporting skills using Power BI and Advanced Excel, hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITAM platforms and a proactive approach to compliance, risk and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Software License Management (O365, Druva & Others): Manage full lifecycle of Microsoft Office 365 licensesprocurement, allocation, optimization and retirement.
- Oversee software licensing for other enterprise tools such as Druva and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date records of software assets, entitlements and user allocation across platforms.
- Liaise with procurement, vendors and digital workplace team for renewals, audits and contract terms.
- Hardware & Asset Management: Manage end-to-end hardware asset lifecyclefrom procurement and deployment to retirement and disposal.
- Maintain accuracy of hardware inventory and asset records through ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Partner with regional logistics and service teams for real-time asset updates and lifecycle tracking.
- Reporting, Compliance & Optimization: Build and maintain real-time dashboards and reports on software/hardware asset usage, compliance and risk using Power BI and Excel.
- Monitor usage trends and forecast future license and hardware needs to avoid over- or under-provisioning.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to software licensing and asset lifecycle processes.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in information technology (BE in IT preferred).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (Software & Hardware), with specialization in Office 365 license management.
- Working knowledge of licensing for tools such as Druva, VMware, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware asset lifecycle management.
- Expertise in Power BI and Advanced Excel for developing reports and dashboards.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Asset Management or similar ITAM/ITSM platforms.
- Strong understanding of license compliance, procurement workflows and budget impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Professional certifications (e.g., ITAM, ITIL, SAM, ServiceNow).
- Experience in asset management in large-scale enterprise environments (10,000+ users).
- Strong analytical thinking, risk management and process improvement capabilities.
- Fluency in English is required; French language proficiency is a strong plus.
