Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented L1/L2 ITAM Engineer to manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle—procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance, optimizing inventory, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will collaborate with service desk teams, procurement specialists, and configuration analysts to maintain accurate asset records and support asset-related issue resolution.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update the IT Asset Management database (CMDB) for hardware, software, and peripheral assetsSupport asset tracking and reconciliation activities across multiple locationsCoordinate with procurement for asset requisitions, disposals, and vendor-related documentationAssist with hardware/software onboarding, tagging, deployment, and recoveryInvestigate and resolve asset-related incidents or discrepanciesConduct periodic audits of asset inventory to ensure compliance and accuracyWork with finance and operations teams for cost tracking, depreciation, and budgetingHelp configure and operate ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Lansweeper)Escalate issues to L3 ITAM or Infrastructure Teams as neededPrepare and maintain documentation related to asset ownership, movement, and life cycleEnsure software license compliance and renewal trackingRequired Skills:Proficiency in ITAM platforms and CMDB toolsSolid understanding of hardware and software asset lifecyclesAwareness of ITIL practices, particularly around Asset and Configuration ManagementFamiliarity with procurement processes and vendor coordinationBasic troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, and Mobile devicesMeticulous attention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to work across cross-functional teams with strong communication skills
