Vice President – Financial Controller - NBFC 📍 Location: New Delhi | 👤 Reports to: CFO – NBFC Our client, a dynamic young company, reshaping India's credit markets, is hiring a Financial Controller at VP level to lead the NBFC vertical. This is a strategic leadership role with board-level visibility, blending financial expertise, regulatory depth, and technology-driven transformation. About the Role As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of financial management, reporting, taxation, compliance, risk, and digital innovation for the NBFC business. You'll partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, strengthen governance, and drive efficiency through technology. Key Responsibilities - Oversee financial reporting (Ind AS/IFRS, RBI compliance) and manage month/quarter/year-end cycles - Lead statutory filings, audits, GST, and regulatory returns - Drive budgeting, forecasting, capital adequacy planning, and board-level insights - Develop and implement tax strategy across direct/indirect taxes; liaise with authorities and consultants - Build and enforce internal controls, risk frameworks, and fraud-prevention mechanisms - Spearhead finance digital transformation: ERP, automation, reconciliation, process re-engineering - Lead, mentor, and grow a strong finance team while collaborating cross-functionally with Ops, Tech, Risk & Audit Qualifications & Experience - Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory - 14–18 years in finance and accounting, with at least 8 years in NBFC - Proven expertise in RBI regulations, compliance, and capital management - Strong background in ERP/financial systems and automation projects - Demonstrated leadership with ability to drive change in structured environments Preferred Skills - Strategic thinker with operational discipline - Strong analytical and problem-solving ability - Excellent communication and stakeholder management - Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
