We now have offices in Stockholm, Hamburg and St Gallen (Switzerland) and remote operations in several countries in Asia. About The Role We are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong experience in QuickBooks, UK accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP), and payroll management for UK clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of handling end-to-end accounting and payroll operations in line with UK regulations. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP. - Manage and process monthly payrolls for UK-based employees and contractors. - Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data and payroll compliance with UK tax laws. - Handle PAYE, NI contributions, pensions, and related HMRC submissions. - Review and verify invoices, expenses, and salary statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. - Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and receivable using QuickBooks. - Coordinate with internal teams and external accountants for year-end closing and audits. - Provide financial analysis, reports, and recommendations as required. Key Requirements - Fluency in English (spoken and written). - Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and UK accounting/payroll systems. - Solid understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP. - Experience managing UK payrolls, tax filings, and compliance. - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to work according to UK business hours. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA qualification is a plus). - 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
