About Client The client is one of India s leading manufacturers and exporters of Maize Starch and Modified Starch for the food pharmaceutical textile and paper industries With decades of experience in starch processing we are committed to innovation quality and sustainable manufacturing practices Our operations are based in Tamil Nadu and we continue to expand both domestically and internationally with a strong focus on technical excellence and customer satisfaction About the Role We are looking for an experienced and performance-driven General Manager - Production to head operations at our 300 Tons Maize Starch Plant in Manglapuram Namakkal This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all plant operations including the Mechanical Electrical and Process departments while ensuring high standards in production efficiency quality and safety Industry Chemical Food Processing Reporting To Director and Management Team Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the end-to-end operations of the maize starch production facility Lead multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical Electrical and Process Engineering departments Ensure adherence to daily production targets safety regulations quality parameters and efficiency standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity energy efficiency and cost optimization Coordinate closely with the Director and Management team on plant strategy performance metrics and resource planning Maintain strict compliance with environmental safety and industry-specific regulatory norms Mentor and guide department heads and managers for effective team and performance management Troubleshoot production challenges and implement preventive and corrective actions Required Qualifications Experience B Tech B E in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a manufacturing plant Prior experience in maize starch or modified starch manufacturing is strongly preferred In-depth understanding of starch processing equipment plant utilities and production operations Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams Language Requirements Tamil - Compulsory English - Proficient Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with experience in Maize Starch units or Food Chemical process industries Strong leadership communication and decision-making abilities Ability to work independently and take full accountability for plant performance and improvements Why Join Be part of a reputed and growing company in the starch processing space Lead a high-capacity plant and play a key role in strategic and operational decision-making Opportunity to drive innovation efficiency and excellence in a performance-driven environment Work closely with a forward-thinking leadership team committed to operational excellence and sustainable growth Job Types Full-time Permanent Benefits Health insurance Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Application Question s Are you willing to relocate and work in Nammakal Tamil Nadu Experience working in Maize Starch unit 5 years Preferred Language Tamil English Required Work Location In person
