Job Description: Area Sales Manager (HVAC & MEP) with Mechanical Engineering Degree

Position: Area Sales Manager HVAC & MEP Location: Delhi/Bengaluru /Hyderabad / Chennai / Mumbai / Kolkata Department: Sales & Business Development Reports to: Sr. Sales Manager / Regional Sales Head

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Area Sales Manager with a degree in Mechanical Engineering to join our team in the HVAC & MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) sector. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with excellent sales and communication skills to drive business growth, manage customer relationships, and support the sales team in achieving revenue goals. The role requires a strong understanding of HVAC and MEP systems, along with the ability to present technical solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development: Identify and target potential customers in the HVAC and MEP industry, including contractors, consultants, and end-users.

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth objectives.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical meetings with clients.

Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions with customers.

Technical Support and Consultation: Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding HVAC and MEP systems, equipment, and solutions.

Offer pre-sales and post-sales support to ensure proper system integration and troubleshooting.

Assist customers in selecting the right products and solutions based on their technical requirements and project specifications.

Collaborate with the engineering team to develop customized solutions for clients.

Market Analysis and Reporting: Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs in the HVAC and MEP sector.

Gather and report feedback from customers and prospects to improve product offerings and sales strategies.

Prepare regular sales reports and updates for the management team.

Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of HVAC and MEP systems.

Ensure that all technical and commercial documentation is up to date and accurate.

Support the team in managing project schedules and budgets.

Training and Product Knowledge: Stay updated on new technologies, products, and innovations in the HVAC and MEP sectors.

Conduct internal training sessions for junior sales staff and team members on product features and benefits.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering) /Civil Engineering / or a related field (HVAC, MEP specialization preferred. Pro with Auto CAD - 2D / 3D,BIM,Revit/Revit MEP, Stadd Pro.

Experience: 6 to 10 years in relevant industry At least 6 to 10 years of experience in sales or technical sales within the HVAC and MEP industry.

Proven track record in sales, preferably with experience in handling large-scale projects and clients in the HVAC & MEP sector.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of HVAC, MEP systems, and related technologies.

Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Problem-solving ability and a consultative sales approach.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

CRM software experience is a plus.

Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel for client meetings and project site visits.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with occasional travel to client sites and project locations.
