Senior Operations Controller – Job Description

Overview

A Senior Operations Controller plays a strategic role in overseeing and optimizing a company's operational and financial performance. This position bridges finance and operations, ensuring that business activities align with financial goals and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight

- Supervise the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
- Monitor budgets, expenditures, and cost controls.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Operational Management

- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across departments.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Align operational activities with company goals and KPIs.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Develop and maintain financial systems and procedures.

Strategic Planning

- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape business strategy.
- Provide insights on profitability, productivity, and performance.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives.

Team Leadership

- Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
- Foster collaboration between finance, operations, and other departments.

Skills & Qualifications

- Above 10 years of experience in operations or management or controlling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Master's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- CPA, CMA, or similar certifications (preferred).
