Key responsibilities

- Analyse technical data and specifications of the equipment and supplies requirements
- Analyse all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing
- Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company
- Work closely with sales to identify customer requirements, design solutions and deliver impactful product demonstrations and presentations tailored to the oil and gas industry.
- Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies and supplier preferencing study
- Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedule so as to ensure on-time deliveries of final product
- Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets
- Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy
- Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, technologies and the competitive landscape for oil and gas digital transformation.

Required Skills And Attributes

- Knowledge of industry standards, compliance and safety requirements in oil and gas operations.
- Familiarity with relevant software and digital platforms for oil and gas.
- Commercial acumen including cost estimation and business case.
- Able to analyse technical documents and specifications to understand critical requirements
- High-level verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with office software, specifically Microsoft Excel or similar programs
- Ability to negotiate commercial terms and manage the supply chain to the customer

Preferred Qualifications

- BBA / MBA / Degree in logistics or supply chain management
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical fields, capable of understanding customer's technical requirements
- 3+ years experience in pre-sales or consulting, preferably in oil and gas or energy sector.
